In August 2012 we entered April, Bella, Hazel and Piko's fleeces in the Pygora goat fleece competition at the Michigan Fiber Festival, held in western Michigan at the Allegan County Fairgrounds. Bella's fleece won Grand Champion and 1st Place, April's fleece won 2nd place. Piko's fleece won 3rd place and Hazel's fleece won 4th place in their class.
Last August (2011) we entered Bella and April's fleeces in the competition at the Michigan Fiber Festival and Bella's fleece won 1st place and April's fleece won 4th place.
In March (2012) we traveled to Ireland and stayed at various B&B's including Hill Crest Farm B&B where we visited with their Black Face sheep.
Our pygora yarn is arriving in soon from from the mill. We can't wait!
Our 26 new chickens are growing like weeds. In mid June they will start laying nutritious eggs.
